Philly is our team stopper.
Sunday, May 28th, 2006If only we could play Philadelphia every night! Well..that would get kind of boring, but I wouldn’t complain about the winning! Fielder continues to hit at a level above that of a semi-second year player. Rickie Weeks is coming on strong now, batting over .300 and making many of those hits timely. Even Brady Clark has turned it around. So it all falls back on the pitching. We still needed 7 runs to win last night, which won’t win us games that often. Let’s hope this deal with the Mets (Mike Adams for Jeremi Gonzalez) proves fruitful, although giving the opportunity first to De La Rosa seems like asking for trouble. Still, Yost is a player’s manager, and most of the time, I trust his instincts and judgment as to this sort of thing. We shall see.
